Who Likes Prawns?

"The Aussie Half Dozen" plus Mum-ee & HB have been staying with us for the last week. It just so happens that we have one of Australia's best Chinese Restaurants, called the Jade Court, here at Tanilba Bay. (The Honeyed Chicken is just scrumptious - according to Dragon & Possum). It is a sort of tradition that when family visits, we all go to the Jade Court for a meal. To keep up tradition, today we all went to for our traditional meal. Whilst everyone loves the Honeyed Chicken, there are two who just detest Prawns - there's obviously something wrong with them, but there you go! We almost got Dragon to try one, see below, but in the end he (honey) chickened out.
Then it was Possum's turn. She actually put it in her mouth, chewed it up and then swallowed it. See below for the after reaction.

So, I guess, it's true - there are some people in this world who just can't stomach PRAWNS - and we have two of them in our family, where did we go wrong?

However, Mousie saved the family reputation, she just LOVES 'em - you can see her eyeing off the ones that Possum wasn't going to eat.

We all had a lovely meal, thank you HB, and went home well sated.

Dont forget your number one son, he's not much of a prawn lover either. However my number one son, Lion, has taken up the challenge and was giving one of his uncles a good run for his money at the Family Christmas get together. As fast as his uncle was peeling them Lion was eating them.

That was only after Lion's uncle took pity on me, I was having a hard time peeling the prawns, seeing I never do it because I never eat them.

Mmmmm, prawns.... I do prefer them to be honey prawns or garlic prawns (pretty much anything where they are served peeled) but I love prawns. I make garlic prawns occasionally but Wolf thinks they have too much of two things... prawns and garlic, he's not such a fan.

Prawns = YUCK!!! (in my opinion!)

On Christmas day, Dad had a HUGE big tray full of garlic prawns. I sat next to him at the table and had to put up with that dreadful smell!!

P.S I had a lot of fun at your house and at Bateman's Bay!!
We got home today at about 12:00pm.

I find it strange that Possum practically ate the whole plate of prawns on the table at Uncle R's wedding when she was one of the flowergirls (age 5) but now says she can't stand them.
