Preparations for Christmas Dinner are almost over and my mouth is watering for that tasty turkey there just waiting to be eaten (before it gets too cold).
Even Grandma is helping out by cutting up the strawberries for the pavlova for desert.
Time for a quick photo before my plate of goodies gets cold.
God Bless You All on this Christmas Day 2008 and Best Wishes for a Happy New Year !
One Sunday in a church, a young child was "acting up" during the morning worship service. The parents did their best to maintain some sense of order but were losing the battle. Finally, the father picked the little fellow up and walked sternly up the aisle on his way out. Just before reaching the safety of the foyer, the little one called loudly to the congregation, "Pray for me! Pray for me!"
I'm a 63 year old father to two (2) children (son & daughter) who made me a Grandpap to eight (8) lovely grandchildren. I work part-time (two days per week) and am a Deacon and Treasurer of my church. Yes, I go to church regularly, and profess that Jesus Christ died on the cross at Clavary over 2,000 years ago for my sins (wrongdoings) and therefore is also my Lord as well as my Saviour. Oh, by the way, I have a great wife who is also my best friend.
says she prefers her own favourite verse, which is - Psalm 103: 1. Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. 2. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: 3. Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; 4. Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; 5. Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.
